Marcella Vogel and Lovella Limnebaugh, who are believed to be the oldest living twins in the Mahoning Valley, celebrated their 86th birthday with a throng of friends and family members at Meridian Arms Living Center on South Meridian Road Sept. 26.
The sisters, who were born Sept. 26, 1927 and raised on Seventh Street in Struthers, were excited to share their special day with everyone. They smiled as they enjoyed the band, Jim Frank Trio. They clapped their hands, ate cake and opened gifts. The duo had a blast celebrating the milestone and make it a priority to cherish every second together.
“They just love life and each other. The twins enjoy music, crafts, bingo and shopping. They are inseparable and are very dependent on each other. It’s nice to see the love they have for each other. It’s important that the Valley knows that everyone doesn’t move away and some do love their personal legacy here. They love the area and each other very much and it was important to Meridian Arms to show that,” said Director of Admissions and Marketing Priscilla Turner.
